Four years after the death of actress Tangmo Nida, the case remains in the public eye following new claims involving actress Kwan Usamanee.
Four years after the tragic death of Thai actress Tangmo Nida, the case has returned to public discourse. According to a report by Khaosod Online, lawyer Phatthaphong Chaipurana, representing former police investigator Pol. Maj. Gen. Wasan Techakarakasem, addressed the status of the legal proceedings. He emphasized that the case has already undergone police investigation, prosecution, and a final court verdict. Furthermore, he noted that subsequent investigations by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) did not alter the court's original ruling.
This resurgence of interest follows recent claims suggesting that actress Kwan Usamanee was present on a different boat on the same night Tangmo Nida died. Allegations circulated that Kwan, wearing a pink outfit similar to Tangmo’s, was part of a six-person group photographed near the Rama VIII Bridge on the night of February 24. Meanwhile, Gatick, a figure previously associated with the case, continues her daily life, reportedly selling fruit as usual.
For residents and travelers, this serves as a reminder of how high-profile legal cases in Thailand can maintain a long-lasting presence in social media and public debate, even years after judicial closure.
