Fuel Prices Increase Across Thailand Effective September 2
Retail fuel prices at PTT stations will rise starting early Wednesday morning, impacting both gasoline and diesel consumers.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, PTT Station has announced a retail price adjustment for fuel products effective from 5:00 AM on September 2, 2026.
Most gasoline and gasohol variants will see an increase of 0.60 baht per liter, while all diesel types will rise by 0.75 baht per liter. Notably, premium-grade fuels, specifically Premium GSH95, Premium GSH99, and Premium Diesel, are excluded from these price hikes and will remain at their current rates. Following these adjustments, the retail price for standard gasoline will be 47.28 baht per liter, Gasohol 95 will be 38.29 baht per liter, and Gasohol E20 will be 33.29 baht per liter.
For residents and travelers in Thailand, this change signifies an immediate increase in transportation costs, whether utilizing private vehicles or metered taxis that rely on these fuel types. It is advisable for motorists to check local station boards for the most current pricing, as these figures represent the updated retail rates at PTT stations. While these adjustments are confirmed for PTT outlets, it remains to be seen how other fuel retailers in the country will adjust their own pricing structures in response to these market changes.
