Trinity Securities Forecasts Volatility for Thai Stock Market in September

Trinity Securities predicts a fluctuating Thai stock market for September 2026, citing international interest rate pressures while highlighting strong corporate earnings.

According to a report from Khaosod Online, Trinity Securities has issued an outlook for the Thai stock market for September 2026. Nuttachart Mekmasin, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Securities Analysis at Trinity Securities, projects the SET Index will fluctuate between 1,550 and 1,660 points throughout the month.

Market volatility is expected to be driven primarily by external factors, specifically global interest rate trends and the policy direction of the U.S. Federal Reserve. Despite these pressures, Trinity Securities notes that the Thai market retains fundamental strengths, supported by robust corporate earnings and current stock valuations that are considered reasonable. The firm identifies 1,630 points as a base-case target, based on a Forward PE Multiple of 14.8 times.

For investors and residents monitoring the local economy, this forecast suggests a period of market sensitivity. Trinity Securities suggests that if the SET Index falls below the 1,600-point mark, it may present an opportunity for gradual accumulation of stocks.

It remains to be confirmed how global economic shifts will specifically impact these projections as the month progresses. As this information is based on market analysis, it should not be interpreted as financial advice. Residents and travelers should continue to monitor official financial news for updates on how these market conditions might influence the broader Thai economic landscape.
