Investigation Underway Following Discovery of Missing Woman in Kamphaeng Phet
A 48-year-old woman reported missing for three days has been found deceased in a pond in Kamphaeng Phet province, prompting a police investigation.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 48-year-old woman identified as Ms. Rosmalin was discovered deceased in a pond located on a vacant plot of land in Kamphaeng Phet province on September 1, 2026. The discovery followed a three-day search after she was reported missing by her family.
Ms. Rosmalin was last seen on CCTV footage walking near her home on the morning of August 30. Her family had previously filed a missing person report with the Khanu Woralaksaburi Police Station. Local authorities, including the Khanu Woralaksaburi Municipality and the Sawang rescue team, located her body in a pond approximately 200 meters from the main road.
Local residents have expressed concern regarding the condition of the body, specifically noting the absence of hair, which has led to public speculation. Police Lieutenant Kommasit Supin, the investigating officer, has ordered a formal autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
