Man Found Deceased in Mae Sa-Ngi Stream, Mae Hong Son
A 41-year-old man was discovered dead in the Mae Sa-Ngi stream in Mae Hong Son province following heavy rainfall.
On September 1, 2026, local authorities in Mae Hong Son province were alerted to the discovery of a deceased man in the Mae Sa-Ngi stream, located in Village No. 4, Ban Kahan, Huai Pha sub-district. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, police officer Pol. Lt. Pariyawat Thitikulkankul, along with medical personnel from Si Sangwan Hospital and local rescue foundations, arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.
The victim, identified as a 41-year-old local resident, was found near the riverbank wearing a black t-shirt and navy blue trousers. Preliminary examinations of the body showed no signs of physical assault. Investigators discovered a fishing net containing a single fish nearby, leading authorities to suspect that the man may have been fishing alone during the night when heavy rains caused the stream to swell, potentially resulting in him being swept away by flash flooding.
