Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chai Chonchok Chidchob has addressed accusations of procurement irregularities concerning the TH-AI PASSPORT initiative.
On September 1, 2026, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DES) Chai Chonchok Chidchob publicly responded to a formal complaint filed with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The complaint, submitted by Member of Parliament Rakchanok Srinork of the People's Party, alleges that the TH-AI PASSPORT project involved 'spec-locking'—a practice where procurement requirements are tailored to favor specific vendors.
Speaking at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, Minister Chai Chonchok stated that he is not concerned by the allegations, asserting that he has acted in accordance with the law.
