New Thai Blockbuster 'Miracle of Wanthong' Announced
Black Dragon Entertainment has unveiled its debut film, a reimagining of the classic Wanthong tale starring Ink Waruntorn, Mark Prin, and Gulf Kanawut.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Black Dragon Entertainment has officially announced its inaugural film project, a 2026 blockbuster titled 'Miracle of Wanthong' (Atsajan Wanthong). Directed by Piyakan 'Mook' Butprasert and produced by Black Dragon CEO Julian Jong, the film aims to offer a fresh perspective on the legendary character of Wanthong, moving away from her traditional historical depiction as a woman of 'two hearts.'
The production features a high-profile cast, with popular singer Ink Waruntorn Paonil in the lead role of Wanthong. She is joined by prominent actors Mark Prin Suparat, who plays Khun Phaen, and Gulf Kanawut Traipipattanapong, who portrays Khun Chang. The supporting cast includes Wipawee 'Primmy' Patnasiri as Sai Thong and Pat 'Faye' Eksaengkul.
