Rescued Reticulated Python Dies After 34-Day Struggle

According to a report by Khaosod Online, a reticulated python has died after enduring a severe spinal injury for 34 days. The snake was initially brought to the Surat Pet Premium Animal Hospital after being struck by a vehicle, an incident that left its spine fractured in the middle of its body.

Medical examinations revealed that the injury resulted in the loss of control over the lower half of its body and its excretory system. The animal also suffered from severe malnutrition during its period of suffering. Despite the efforts of veterinary staff to provide care, the snake succumbed to its injuries on August 31, 2026. A social media update from a rescuer confirmed the animal's death, noting that the time of its passing coincided with the time it was originally struck by the vehicle.
