Couple Arrested for Theft Targeting Influencer in Bangkok
Police in Huai Khwang have apprehended a couple accused of posing as domestic cleaners to steal high-value electronics from a prominent influencer.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, police from the Huai Khwang station announced the arrest of a 44-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman on August 30, 2026. The suspects, identified as Suranat and Kannika, were apprehended following an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court on charges of joint theft in a residence.
The investigation began after a 17-year-old influencer reported that an iPad Pro 11 and a stylus were stolen from her luxury condominium in the Ratchada-Huai Khwang area. The victim had hired the suspects, who allegedly posed as professional cleaners found through Facebook. Authorities tracked the suspects' escape route, leading to their eventual capture at their residence.
