Korat Chamber of Commerce Weighs Options for 2029 World Horticultural Expo Site

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Nakhon Ratchasima Chamber of Commerce has addressed a proposal from the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) to shift the venue for the Korat Expo 2029. The debate centers on two potential locations: Pak Chong District and Khong District.

The Chamber notes that Pak Chong offers superior existing infrastructure, which could benefit the event. However, there are significant concerns regarding the tight timeline for preparation before 2029 and the potential for insufficient government investment to meet the necessary standards. Conversely, developing the site in Khong District would require an additional budget allocation of approximately 6 billion baht for infrastructure improvements.
