Kasetsart University and Zico Foundation Launch Youth Football Clinic
Kasetsart University and the Zico Foundation have partnered to host a football clinic for Thai youth, focusing on skill development and character building.
On August 30, 2026, Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and the Zico Foundation officially launched the 'KUSOC @Football Clinic' at the Insee Chandrastitya Stadium in Bangkok. According to Khaosod Online, the event was held under the 'Project to Build a Football Future for Thai Youth,' an initiative honoring Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Led by Kasetsart University President Assistant Professor Dr. Khongsak Thiangtham and featuring former national team players, the clinic aims to use sports as a platform for holistic youth development. Beyond technical football training, the program emphasizes life skills, including discipline, teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and sportsmanship. The organizers intend for this collaboration to create a sustainable network for nurturing young talent.
For residents and visitors, this initiative highlights the ongoing investment in local sports infrastructure and youth development programs within the university sector. While the clinic successfully engaged participants on August 30, it remains to be confirmed if this will become a recurring series or if additional clinics are planned for other regions in Thailand. Those interested in future youth sports development programs may wish to monitor official announcements from Kasetsart University or the Zico Foundation.
