TTB and DBS Announce Strategic Wealth Management Partnership

TMBThanachart Bank (TTB) has entered an agreement with DBS to acquire the Thai Baht investment portfolios of DBSVT clients, aiming to expand its high-net-worth service offerings.

According to a report by Prachachat Business, TMBThanachart Bank (TTB) has announced a strategic partnership with DBS to transfer the Thai Baht investment portfolios of DBS Vickers (Thailand) (DBSVT) clients to TTB Wealth. TTB CEO Piti Tantakasem stated that this move is designed to strengthen the bank's wealth management capabilities and provide high-net-worth clients with access to a broader range of global investment products.

For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this development signals a significant shift in the local wealth management landscape. Clients currently holding Thai Baht-denominated assets with DBSVT will see their portfolios transitioned to TTB’s platform. This integration is expected to be completed by May 2027.

While the partnership aims to enhance service quality and product variety, several details remain to be confirmed. Specifically, the exact transition process for individual account holders, potential changes to fee structures, and the specific scope of the new global investment products have not yet been fully detailed. Customers affected by this transfer are advised to monitor official communications from both DBSVT and TTB regarding the migration timeline and any necessary actions required on their part to ensure a smooth transition of their assets.
