Thai police and special operations units have arrested a 26-year-old man for transporting 5 million methamphetamine pills in a newly purchased vehicle.
According to a report by Thai Post on August 31, 2026, law enforcement officials, including the Border Patrol Police Bureau 2 and the Special Case Operation Center Region 4, announced the arrest of 26-year-old Anucha Buanil. The suspect was apprehended while allegedly transporting a massive shipment of 5 million methamphetamine pills, estimated to have a street value of 150 million baht.
The arrest took place following the interception of an Isuzu vehicle, registered in Sakon Nakhon, which the suspect had reportedly acquired specifically for the purpose of drug trafficking. Officials stated that the operation was a coordinated effort between regional border patrol units and special investigation teams.
