Phichit Province Dismisses 55 Officials Over Local Examination Fraud
Phichit provincial authorities have revoked the appointments of 55 local government officials following an investigation into examination irregularities.
On August 31, 2026, Phichit Governor Thaniya Naipinit announced that 55 local government officials have been dismissed from their positions due to their involvement in a local examination fraud scheme. According to Khaosod Online, the investigation confirmed that these individuals were improperly appointed, leading to the immediate revocation of their status as civil servants.
The breakdown of the dismissed personnel includes 7 employees from the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), 17 from municipal offices, and 31 from Sub-district Administrative Organizations (SAO). The provincial committee has instructed the local administration promotion office to enforce these dismissals immediately.
