Philippine Ambassador Plants Tree at Nong Nooch Garden to Symbolize Friendship

On August 30, 2026, the Philippine Ambassador to Thailand, Millicent Cruz-Paredes, visited Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya to participate in the 'Planting Thai Trees for Thailand' initiative. Accompanied by garden president Kampon Tansacha, the Ambassador planted a 'small-leaf blood tree' (Dracaena loureiroi), a species native to southern Thailand, at the garden’s arboretum located near the Ban Dai Krit mountain foothills.

This event serves as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Thailand. According to Kampon Tansacha, the garden is currently developing a 43-rai arboretum with authorization from the Royal Forest Department.
