Khlong R.1 Flood Mitigation Repairs on Track for Southern Rainy Season

Following a site visit to Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Suriya Juangroongruangkit announced that repairs to the Khlong R.1 flood mitigation system are proceeding as planned. The inspection was conducted alongside Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, who visited the area to assess the progress of flood prevention and relief infrastructure.

According to Thai Post, the Prime Minister expressed significant concern regarding water management and the potential impact of seasonal flooding on local residents. Minister Suriya assured that the ongoing maintenance and repair work on the canal system will be finalized in time to handle the upcoming rainy season in Southern Thailand.
