Thai Interior Ministry Finalizes Removal of Officials Linked to Local Exam Fraud

On August 31, 2026, Deputy Minister of Interior Worasit Liangprasit confirmed that the government has finalized the removal of all officials implicated in a local examination fraud scandal. According to Khaosod Online, the process reached 100% completion by the deadline set by the Central Committee.

The investigation identified 5,925 individuals with irregular test scores, of whom 3,864 had already been appointed to positions. All of these individuals have now been removed from their posts. For the remaining individuals who had not yet been appointed, the ministry has halted their recruitment process.

Despite the scale of these removals, the Ministry reports that there have been no formal appeals or lawsuits filed. Approximately 1,500 individuals have requested to review their examination scores, but upon viewing the evidence, none have contested the findings or sought protection from the Administrative Court.
