On August 31, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that a 44-year-old mother, identified as Ms. Suphunnee, has sought media assistance following an alleged incident involving her son, a Grade 11 student at a school in Phatthalung province. According to the mother, a dormitory teacher reportedly struck the student on the back with a 120-centimeter PVC pipe on the night of August 22, 2026, leaving visible injuries.
The student further alleged that he was forced to drink water from a discarded can found in a trash bin as part of a punishment for an act he claims he did not commit. The mother stated that she attempted to visit the school upon hearing of the incident from her son’s friend, but was initially denied entry by staff, leading to a confrontation that only resolved after she threatened to involve the police.
