Myanmar National Accidentally Ingests Rat Poison in Sattahip

On the evening of August 30, 2026, emergency responders from the Sawang Rojanathammasathan Foundation were called to a residence in Sattahip, Chonburi, following reports of a poisoning incident. According to Khaosod Online, a 29-year-old Myanmar national identified as Mr. Ye accidentally ingested rat poison while consuming alcohol with friends. He reportedly mistook the toxic substance for 'naem,' a traditional fermented pork snack, and chewed a small amount.

Following the ingestion, the individual experienced vomiting three to four times. Although rescue personnel arrived on the scene and assessed his condition, the man remained conscious and refused to be transported to a hospital for professional medical evaluation. Rescue workers advised his friends and family to monitor him closely for any further symptoms and to seek immediate medical attention should his condition deteriorate.
