Buriram Salon Owner Seeks Justice After Six-Month Delay in Drunk Driving Case
A salon owner in Buriram is calling for media attention after a drunk driving incident destroyed her shop six months ago, with police only recently submitting the case file.
On August 30, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that Ms. Busabakorn, the 34-year-old owner of 'Busaba Beauty' in Buriram, has publicly complained about the slow progress of a legal case involving a drunk driving accident. The incident occurred on February 14, 2026, at approximately 8:00 PM, when a pickup truck crashed into her salon located on the one-way road near the railway in Tambon Nai Mueang.
According to the owner, the collision destroyed the shop's glass doors and damaged a motorcycle parked in front. Two men, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated, exited the vehicle following the crash. Ms. Busabakorn claims that when she requested compensation, the driver stated he had no money, offering only 500 baht to buy beer. Despite the significant property damage, the victim reports that six months passed with little progress in the investigation. When she recently inquired about the status of the case, police informed her that the case file had only just been submitted.
