On August 30, 2026, Thailand’s Minister of Labour, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, visited Thepha Hospital in Songkhla province to assess the impact of ongoing flooding on local medical logistics. According to the Thailand Government Public Relations Department, the Minister received reports that floodwaters are currently hindering the routes used for emergency patient transfers.
In response, Minister Phiphat has directed the Department of Highways and the Department of Rural Roads to conduct an immediate survey of the affected areas. The objective is to identify and rectify high-risk points along these critical transport corridors to ensure that medical services remain accessible. The Minister emphasized that patient safety and the urgency of life-saving care must be prioritized during these weather events.
