Prime Minister Anutin Inspects Royal Initiative Canal Development in Rattanakosin

On August 30, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul conducted a boat inspection of canal development projects within the Rattanakosin Island area. Accompanied by a committee overseeing Royal Initiative projects, the Prime Minister participated in the 'Buddhist Monks Cruising the Canals of Rattanakosin' initiative, which was presided over by Somdet Phra Wachirasitthajarn, the abbot of Wat Saket.

The event included key government officials, such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Minister of Energy Eknat Prompan, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin, and Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt. The delegation, joined by 120 monks from five local temples, inspected the progress of canal improvements aimed at enhancing the area's appeal as a tourism landmark, specifically highlighting sites like the Golden Mount and Mahakan Fort.
