On August 29, 2026, a paramotor excursion turned into a rescue operation at the Pa Sak Jolasid Dam in Phatthana Nikhom district, Lopburi province. According to reports from Khaosod Online, three paramotor pilots took off from the Ban Tha Rit area when they encountered sudden, strong wind gusts that shifted direction, rendering their equipment uncontrollable.
All three aircraft crashed as a result of the weather conditions. Two of the pilots landed near the dam’s edge and on the ground behind the dam embankment, sustaining only minor injuries. However, the third pilot crashed directly into the reservoir of the Pa Sak Jolasid Dam and subsequently disappeared. Local authorities, including police from Phatthana Nikhom Station, village leaders, and water rescue teams from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, were dispatched to the scene to conduct a search operation.
