Viral Kiss-Covered Car Stunt Leads to Legal Trouble in India
An Indian content creator faced police intervention after a video of his car covered in 3,400 lipstick kisses went viral, resulting in a fine and a mandatory cleanup.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, citing NDTV, an Instagram content creator named Aditya Sikarwar from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, recently gained significant attention for a viral stunt. Sikarwar filmed his girlfriend covering his car with approximately 3,400 lipstick kisses, a project that reportedly cost between 300 and 400 baht in lipstick supplies. The video garnered over 5.5 million views on social media.
However, the stunt attracted the attention of local traffic police after the vehicle was observed being driven at high speeds in the footage. Authorities tracked down the owner and initiated legal proceedings regarding traffic violations. Sikarwar was fined 5,500 rupees (approximately 2,000 baht) and was required to remove all lipstick marks from the vehicle while at the police station. He has since paid the fine and pledged to adhere to traffic regulations in the future.
For travelers and residents, this incident serves as a reminder that social media stunts involving vehicles can lead to legal scrutiny if they appear to violate traffic safety laws. While the creator achieved his goal of virality, the legal consequences highlight the importance of ensuring that content creation does not compromise road safety.
