Taiwanese Court Sentences Man for Non-Consensual Sexual Assault
A man in Taichung, Taiwan, received a suspended prison sentence after assaulting his sleeping wife with a Kegel ball and recording the act.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, a court in Taichung, Taiwan, has sentenced a man to two years in prison, suspended for three years, following a non-consensual sexual assault case. The incident occurred when the man inserted a Kegel ball—a pelvic floor exercise device—into his sleeping wife’s anus. He proceeded to sexually assault her while recording the act on his mobile phone. The victim awoke due to pain, confronted her husband, and subsequently filed a police report.
During the legal proceedings, it was revealed that the man had purchased the device online the day before the incident. The court noted that the defendant acted out of personal desire and a lack of restraint. However, the sentence was mitigated because the man reached a settlement with his wife, paying 1 million New Taiwan Dollars in damages. The couple has since divorced.
