Chonburi Prepares for Arrival of USS Abraham Lincoln Crew

According to Khaosod Online, the Immigration Division 3 (Immigration Bureau) has announced preparations to welcome approximately 5,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel from the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group. The fleet is scheduled to dock near the eastern coast and at Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi Province from September 2 to September 6, 2026.
Pol. Col. Parinya Klinkesorn, spokesperson for Immigration Division 3, stated that the bureau has directed relevant units in Chonburi to ensure operational readiness for the visit. The primary purpose of the stop is to provide the crew with shore leave and logistical support following an extended period of maritime operations.
