Water Resource Monitoring Stations Undergo Maintenance in Northeast Thailand
The Department of Water Resources has conducted maintenance on 18 telemetering and CCTV stations across six provinces in the Chi River basin.
Between August 24 and 29, 2026, officials from the Department of Water Resources (Region 4) performed routine inspections and maintenance on water monitoring infrastructure. The operation covered 18 field stations equipped with automatic telemetering systems and CCTV cameras located across Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, and Phetchabun provinces.
According to the Department of Water Resources, the technical team verified the accuracy of water level sensors and rainfall gauges. They calibrated the equipment to ensure that the digital displays at the field stations align precisely with physical water level markers. Additionally, the team inspected CCTV hardware to ensure continued operational functionality.
For residents and travelers in these regions, these stations are critical for real-time water management and flood monitoring. While the maintenance ensures the reliability of data provided by these systems, it remains to be confirmed how these updates will impact the public accessibility of real-time water data dashboards. The maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the integrity of the Chi River basin's hydrological monitoring network.
