Man Arrested Following Fatal Incident in Nagoya
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Japan after surviving a fall from an 11th-floor balcony that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to reports from Khaosod Online, citing The Tokyo Reporter, Aichi Prefectural Police have officially arrested 29-year-old Nobunari Taguchi following a tragic incident in Nagoya. On July 19, Taguchi allegedly jumped from the 11th-floor balcony of a condominium in the Sakae district of Naka Ward in an apparent suicide attempt. During his fall, he struck 23-year-old Tomoki Inaba, who was walking on the sidewalk below.
Police stated that Ms. Inaba died due to shock caused by significant blood loss resulting from the impact. Taguchi sustained serious injuries during the fall and remained hospitalized for several weeks. Following his recovery, which allowed him to communicate with authorities, he was formally taken into custody on August 27.
