Thai Authorities Report Nationwide Crackdown on Drugs and Illegal Firearms
Thai administrative officials conducted a week-long nationwide operation, resulting in the seizure of 14 million methamphetamine pills and hundreds of firearms.

During this period, officials established 96,000 checkpoints across the country as part of a broader initiative to combat crime, narcotics trafficking, and the proliferation of illegal firearms.
The operation yielded significant results, with authorities seizing 14 million methamphetamine pills and 383 illegal firearms. Additionally, officials conducted inspections of registration records to identify potential loopholes. Notably, an investigation in Phitsanulok province uncovered irregularities involving over 2,255 P.3 firearm purchase permits.
