Thai Police Dismantle Over 1,400 Drug Networks in August Operation
Thai authorities reported the successful disruption of 1,491 drug trafficking networks and the seizure of millions of illicit pills during a month-long crackdown.
According to a report by Thai Post, the Royal Thai Police concluded a major anti-narcotics operation spanning from August 1 to August 28, 2026. The initiative resulted in the dismantling of 1,491 drug trafficking networks and the processing of over 17,000 criminal cases. During these enforcement actions, authorities seized approximately 77 million methamphetamine pills and over 6 tons of crystal methamphetamine (ice).
