On August 28, 2026, Gulf Energy Development (GULF) announced the launch of the 'Wind and Water Detectives' initiative, a community-focused program designed to engage local youth in environmental stewardship. The project encourages children living near GULF power plants to actively monitor local air and water quality, fostering a deeper understanding of natural resource management.
According to Sitamon Rattanawadi, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at GULF, the program aims to empower the next generation by teaching them to observe, question, and take practical action regarding their local environment. In addition to the monitoring activities, the company distributed educational materials created through an upcycling project titled 'Our Bottles,' which repurposes plastic bottle caps to demonstrate the value of resource efficiency. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader 'Powering the Future, Empowering the People' corporate philosophy.
