Thai Credit Bank Targets 200 Billion Baht Loan Milestone

Thai Credit Bank reports strong growth in the first half of 2026, aiming for a 200 billion baht loan portfolio and a 20% return on equity.

According to a report by Prachachat Business, Thai Credit Bank (CREDIT) has announced ambitious financial targets for the remainder of 2026. Following a successful first half of the year, during which the bank’s loan portfolio reached 194 billion baht and profits grew by 17.8%, the institution is now aiming to hit a total loan milestone of 200 billion baht.

Chief Executive Officer Roy Agustinus Gunara stated that the bank intends to maintain its strategic focus on Micro SMEs and underserved customer segments. The bank is also targeting a Return on Equity (ROE) approaching 20%, while managing its Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio at approximately 4%.

For residents and business owners in Thailand, this expansion reflects a continued push to provide financial services to smaller enterprises that may have limited access to traditional banking. As the bank scales its operations, it remains to be seen how these aggressive growth targets will impact interest rates and credit accessibility for small business owners in the coming months. Investors and customers should monitor future quarterly reports to confirm if the bank successfully maintains its NPL targets while achieving its projected ROE.
