TS Food Recruits Former Finance Officials to Expand 'Goriko' Snack Brand

TS Food has appointed two former Ministry of Finance executives to lead its 'Goriko' snack brand, aiming for 1 billion baht in sales and a future stock market listing.

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Thai snack industry—valued at approximately 50 billion baht—is seeing increased competition. In response, TS Food has recruited two former Ministry of Finance executives to join its management team. The company intends to leverage this expertise to grow its 'Goriko' snack brand, specifically targeting younger consumers amidst current economic challenges and sluggish purchasing power.

Mr. Chanachai Chutimavoraphan, representing the company, outlined a strategic roadmap that focuses on accelerating exports and diversifying the product portfolio. The firm has set a target to reach 1 billion baht in total sales. Following this growth phase, TS Food plans to spin off the brand for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

For residents and travelers, this development highlights the ongoing evolution of Thailand’s consumer goods sector. While the snack market remains highly competitive, the entry of new management strategies suggests a push for modernization and international expansion. It remains to be confirmed when the company will officially initiate its IPO process or which specific international markets will be prioritized for the export roadmap. Observers will be watching to see if this strategy successfully navigates the current domestic economic climate.
