Bangkok Launches 'AXTRA Green Challenge' to Promote City Cleanliness
Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has partnered with CP Axtra to launch a waste-collection competition offering prizes including a trip to Japan.
On August 28, 2026, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt officially inaugurated the 'AXTRA Green Challenge: Waste Hunter' competition at Lumphini Park. This initiative, a collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the private sector, aims to encourage residents to participate in city-wide waste collection efforts to improve urban cleanliness.
During the launch event, CP Axtra Public Company Limited contributed resources to support the city's sanitation efforts, including high-visibility vests for waste collection staff and specialized racks designed for the collection of PET plastic bottles. The competition incentivizes teams to participate in cleaning activities, with the grand prize featuring a trip to Japan.
For residents and visitors, this initiative highlights a growing emphasis on urban waste management and sustainability within the capital.
