Thailand’s 2027 Budget Bill Moves to Final Parliamentary Review
The House Budget Committee has concluded its review of the 3.788 trillion baht 2027 budget, with final parliamentary debates expected in early September.
On August 28, 2026, Korrawee Prissananantakul, spokesperson for the House Committee on the 2027 Budget Bill, announced the conclusion of the committee's review process. After 35 days of deliberations, the committee finalized the 3.788 trillion baht budget proposal, which includes various adjustments to departmental allocations, with the exception of sections 36, 40, and 41.
The committee is now coordinating with the government whip to schedule the second and third readings of the bill in the House of Representatives, tentatively proposed for September 7–9, 2026. A meeting with the opposition whip is also planned for next week to establish the framework for these upcoming debates.
