On August 28, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that a 38-year-old woman named Nusara traveled from Lopburi to Wat Klang Bang Phra in Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom, to perform a votive offering. The devotee presented chicken eggs to 'Luang Phor Somwang,' a massive 30-meter-tall Buddha statue in the Maravijaya posture, which is widely revered by both locals and visitors.
According to the report, the woman sought to fulfill a promise made after she successfully recovered from a major surgery in 2025. Her ritual included placing the eggs, lighting incense, and applying gold leaf to the statue's right hand.
