A local lottery vendor in Nakhon Pathom reported winning a major prize after failing to sell her remaining tickets, leading her to perform a ritual of gratitude at Wat Sawang Arom.
On August 27, 2026, a 40-year-old lottery vendor identified as Ms. Suphansa visited Wat Sawang Arom in Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom, to fulfill a vow. According to a report by Khaosod Online, the vendor had been left with a significant number of unsold lottery tickets on the morning of the August 1, 2026, draw.
After visiting the temple to pay respects to the 'Ta Thong Ngiw Rai' statue—a figure often associated with local beliefs regarding fortune—she discovered that the unsold tickets included 10 winning entries. In gratitude, she returned to the temple with offerings, including 39 packs of drinking water and 89 packs of red syrup, to present to the statue.
