Negotiations Stall on Airport Rail Link Operations
The State Railway of Thailand and the CP Group have yet to reach an agreement regarding the one-year operation of the Airport Rail Link, with further talks scheduled for September.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, representatives from the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), Asia Era One (a subsidiary of the CP Group), and the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) met on August 27, 2026, to discuss the future management of the Airport Rail Link.
During these discussions, the CP Group did not accept the proposal for a one-year extension of their operational involvement in the rail service. The meeting aimed to resolve ongoing operational challenges, but no consensus was reached between the parties involved.
