On August 27, 2026, police from the Khon Buri station in Nakhon Ratchasima province arrested a 40-year-old individual, identified as Siriphong (or 'Ta'), following reports of a theft. According to Khaosod Online, the suspect was accused of entering a residence in Ban Chaliang on August 22 and stealing a cooking gas cylinder.
The incident gained local attention after a relative of the 72-year-old homeowner captured a photograph of the suspect loading the gas cylinder onto a motorcycle and driving away. This image was subsequently shared on social media, leading to a formal police report. Upon investigating a residence in Ban Mai Nong Bua, officers discovered the suspect alongside a 30-year-old partner in a room filled with smoke, where they were reportedly consuming narcotics.
