Khon Kaen Initiates Dismissal of 43 Officials Over Exam Fraud

On August 27, 2026, officials in Khon Kaen province held a meeting with representatives from 35 local administrative organizations to outline the procedures for dismissing 43 civil servants. According to Khaosod Online, these individuals were identified as having been involved in fraud during the 2025 local government recruitment examinations.

Deputy Governor Yutthana Phowihok stated that the authority to sign the dismissal orders rests with the heads of the respective local administrative organizations, who have now received the necessary documentation from the provincial government. Individuals affected by this decision who are excluded from the revised recruitment lists have the right to file a grievance or appeal within 30 days. Furthermore, they retain the right to pursue legal action through the court system.

While the provincial government is facilitating the administrative process, the re-evaluation of exam scores and the establishment of new rankings remain the responsibility of the central committee. Approximately ten individuals have already requested to review their records.
