Fatal Motorcycle Accident Involving Truck in Pathum Thani
A 25-year-old woman died in a collision with a 22-wheel truck on Phahonyothin Road in Pathum Thani province.
On August 27, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the inbound side of Phahonyothin Road, located in front of the Air Defense Command in Khu Khot, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, local police were notified of the incident at approximately 3:30 PM.
Authorities discovered the body of a 25-year-old woman from Chaiyaphum province at the scene. She was found deceased alongside a new Honda Scoopy motorcycle that had not yet been issued a license plate. A 22-wheel sand truck was stopped nearby, with bloodstains visible on its left-side wheels.
The 52-year-old truck driver stated that he was transporting sand from Saraburi to Lam Luk Ka. He reported that traffic was heavy and moving slowly at the time of the incident. He claimed he did not hear any collision or notice anything unusual, suggesting the motorcyclist may have entered a blind spot while attempting to pass.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights the significant risks associated with navigating heavy traffic alongside large commercial vehicles, particularly in blind spots. As the investigation by the Khu Khot Police Station continues, authorities are working to confirm the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.
