Hua Seng Heng Forecasts Gold Price Surge Amid US Debt Concerns

Thailand’s gold trading leader, Hua Seng Heng, projects a bullish trend for gold, citing US national debt exceeding $40 trillion as a primary driver.

On August 27, 2026, the prominent Thai gold trading firm Hua Seng Heng reported that gold prices have entered a bullish phase after successfully breaking through the key resistance level of $4,500–$4,515 per ounce. According to the firm, this upward momentum is supported by both technical indicators and fundamental concerns regarding the fiscal stability of the United States, specifically noting that US national debt has surpassed the $40 trillion mark.

For residents and investors in Thailand, this trend is significant as Hua Seng Heng maintains its 2026 price target for gold at $4,900–$5,000 per ounce, which translates to approximately 74,000–75,000 Thai Baht. The firm attributes this potential growth to sustained buying interest from central banks and a recovery in Gold ETF investments.

While the long-term outlook appears positive, the firm advises caution regarding short-term profit-taking, as prices have recently risen by nearly $600. Market participants are now closely monitoring upcoming events, including the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium and the September FOMC meeting, which are expected to provide further clarity on interest rate directions and bond yields. These developments remain subject to change based on global economic policy shifts, and investors should continue to monitor official financial updates for further confirmation of these market trends.
