Thailand Aims to Transition from AI Consumer to Creator

In a recent collaborative event, Suphachai Chearavanont, senior executive at Charoen Pokphand Group, outlined a five-pillar strategy to transform Thailand from an AI consumer into an AI creator. The initiative, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), focuses on developing a complete ecosystem that includes clean energy, data centers, semiconductors, startup support, human capital development, and the creation of 'Sovereign AI.'

AWS reaffirmed its commitment to investing in and expanding digital infrastructure across Thailand and Southeast Asia through 2039. The goal is to bridge the technology access gap, modernize industries, and improve public services. Suphachai emphasized that the success of this initiative should be measured by tangible improvements in the quality of life for Thai citizens and the nation's overall economic competitiveness.
