Prime Minister Anutin Inspects Naval Readiness in Sattahip

On August 27, 2026, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul conducted an official inspection of naval operations in the Upper Gulf of Thailand and the Navy Training Ground No. 15 at Hat Yao, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. According to Thai Post, the Prime Minister arrived wearing an official Volunteer Defense Corps (Or Sor) uniform and was received by Royal Thai Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Pairoj Fuangchan along with other senior naval officers.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess the combat readiness of the fleet aboard the HTMS Chakri Naruebet. During the inspection, discussions were held regarding the procurement of new military equipment intended to replace assets currently slated for decommissioning.
