Authorities in Phang Nga are searching for a 38-year-old suspect after a 56-year-old man was fatally shot at his home in Takua Thung district.
On August 27, 2026, police in Phang Nga province initiated a manhunt for a 38-year-old suspect accused of killing a 56-year-old man. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the incident occurred at a residence in Tambon Tha Yu, Takua Thung district. Police Lieutenant Sittithat Rattajak of the Takua Thung Police Station received the report at 10:49 a.m. and arrived at the scene alongside forensic investigators and emergency responders.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the victim, a resident of Tambon Kalai, with a single gunshot wound to the head. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting, taking the firearm with him. Law enforcement officials are currently interviewing the victim's relatives and close associates to determine the motive behind the attack.
