CP Group Reaffirms Intent to Terminate High-Speed Rail and Airport Rail Link Contracts
The CP Group has formally reiterated its request to end its involvement in the high-speed rail project connecting three airports and the operation of the existing Airport Rail Link.
According to a report by Khaosod English, the CP Group submitted a letter on August 26, 2026, reaffirming its decision to terminate the contract for Thailand’s high-speed rail project, which is designed to link three major airports. The company also intends to cease its operation of the current Airport Rail Link.
Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkasakulkiat confirmed that he has held discussions regarding the situation. He has urged all involved parties to work toward resolving the outstanding issues before the September 30 deadline.
