Prawet District Issues Summons to International School Owner Amid Construction Dispute
Authorities in Bangkok's Prawet district are moving to summon the owner of a prominent international school following a 57-million-baht payment dispute with a construction contractor.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 27, 2026, the Prawet District Office is preparing to issue a formal summons to the owner of a well-known international school located on Srinakarin Road, Nong Bon sub-district. The owner is required to provide testimony within 30 days regarding an ongoing construction dispute.
The legal action stems from a complaint filed by Mr. Jennarong Rueangsuwan, the owner of a construction firm. Mr. Rueangsuwan alleges that the school’s operating company breached their contract and currently has outstanding payments totaling 57 million baht. Consequently, the contractor has petitioned the Department of Public Works and the Prawet District Office to suspend all construction, modification, and demolition permits associated with the school site under the Building Control Act of 1979.
