Prime Minister Anutin Inspects Royal Thai Navy Exercises in Sattahip
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited Sattahip, Chonburi, to observe Royal Thai Navy operational drills and disaster relief capabilities.
On August 27, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul conducted an official visit to Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, to inspect the Royal Thai Navy’s task force exercises. According to Khaosod Online, the visit was designed to evaluate the military's operational readiness, maritime security capabilities, and the effectiveness of current naval equipment.
During the event, the Prime Minister observed demonstrations of field medical services and rescue operations, emphasizing the Navy's dual role in protecting maritime sovereignty and providing humanitarian assistance during natural disasters. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin and Permanent Secretary of the Interior Arttaphon Charoensilp. Upon arrival at the U-Tapao Naval Air Station, he was received by Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, Admiral Pairoj Fuangchan.
As part of the ceremony, the Prime Minister was awarded honorary insignia, including the Special Warfare and Naval Parachutist badges, in recognition of his contributions to the Navy. Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen also participated in the proceedings.
