New Road Infrastructure Completed in Wang Nam Khiao
The Department of Rural Roads has completed the upgrade of the NM.5069 route in Nakhon Ratchasima, aiming to improve logistics and tourism access.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 27, 2026, the Department of Rural Roads (DRR) has officially opened the upgraded NM.5069 road, connecting the NM.3060 junction to Ban Tha Wang Sai in the Wang Nam Khiao district of Nakhon Ratchasima province.
The project covers a total distance of 16.4 kilometers. Pichit Hunsiri, Director-General of the DRR, stated that the construction is intended to enhance the rural road network, providing safer and more convenient travel for both local residents and tourists.
For travelers and residents, this development is significant as it improves connectivity to Wang Nam Khiao, a popular destination known for its natural attractions and viewpoints. By facilitating smoother traffic flow, the road is expected to support the local tourism industry and assist farmers in transporting agricultural produce, including temperate fruits and vegetables, to markets more efficiently.
