High-Speed Rail Project Faces Uncertainty as CP Group Seeks Contract Termination
Deputy Transport Minister Siriphong Angkasakulkiat is addressing a potential crisis in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) high-speed rail project after the CP Group requested to terminate its contract.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, Deputy Transport Minister Siriphong Angkasakulkiat has held urgent discussions with the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) regarding the high-speed rail project connecting three airports. The CP Group has formally expressed its intention to terminate the contract, a move the government maintains cannot be executed unilaterally by the private sector.
